My family was hovering nearby while I made this homemade mint lemonade. They know when something delicious is coming!
And sure enough…
The whole jug of lemonade was gone in a flash.
So, trust me when I see this mint lemonade is the one thing you need to make this week to put a smile on everyone’s face.
The inspiration for this recipe was my homemade mint simple syrup. You’re going to see a lot of mint recipe love here.

This recipe is also such a quick win for those hot afternoons when you want something a bit more elevated than your standard pitcher of lemonade. The homemade mint simple syrup adds that perfect cooling finish that makes every sip feel like a treat.
Step by Step Instructions to Make Homemade Mint Lemonade
First, you’ll want to whip up a batch of that mint simple syrup. Just add your sugar and water to a saucepan and stir it over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes until the sugar is totally dissolved. Remember to keep an eye on it so it doesn’t boil! Once it’s clear, turn off the heat and let your mint leaves steep for 15 minutes before straining them out.
Now, to put the lemonade together:
In a large jug, pour in your two cups of fresh mint simple syrup.
Add your fresh squeezed lemon juice and the cold water.
You can certainly squeeze the lemons by hand. I use the Cuisinart citrus juicer (affiliate link), and it’s super quick and easy.
Pour it over plenty of ice, toss in a few mint sprigs for garnish, and enjoy!
It is so easy, and the flavor is just legitimately amazing. I can’t wait to hear what you think of this one!
