Blueberry London Fog Recipe

Recipe summary for Blueberry London Fog

This cozy drink elevates the classic tea latte by pairing bold Earl Grey tea with homemade blueberry simple syrup and warm steamed milk. It offers a delightfully bright and fruity twist on a warm comforting staple that you can easily make at home.

Welcome to one of my absolute favorite cozy morning treats. A classic London Fog is usually made with Earl Grey tea, vanilla syrup, and steamed milk, but replacing the vanilla with my unexpected blueberry syrup adds a wonderful pop of flavor. I hand tested this recipe until it was just right to share with all of you, making sure the fruity sweetness balances perfectly with the deep floral notes of the tea. Perfection!

If you enjoy making fruity drinks and scratch bakery items at home, this warm beverage fits right into your routine. Pair it with a slice of fresh strawberry matcha loaf or enjoy it alongside another favorite treat during a quiet moment in your day.

I personally love making my own coffee shop drinks and treats at home. It’s satisying to save that money while also having a little pick me up. Step by step instructions with pictures for Blueberry London Fog recipe

Add the syrup base

Start by measuring your blueberry simple syrup and pouring two tablespoons directly into the bottom of your mug. Having the syrup at the bottom allows it to mix evenly once the hot tea is added.

Steep the tea

Boil half a cup of water, turn off the heat source, and place your Earl Grey tea bag into the water. Let it steep for eight minutes. Steeping for a full eight minutes creates a concentrated brew that holds its flavor when diluted with milk and sweetened with syrup. The Twinings brand is my favorite for Earl Grey! Combine tea and syrup

Gently pour the hot steeped tea into your mug over the syrup. Stir the mixture lightly so the syrup dissolves completely into the tea.

Top with steamed milk

Steam half a cup of milk until hot and frothy. Scroll after this pic for the BEST milk frother!

Pour the warm milk over your tea mixture to fill the mug and create a creamy top layer.
