I love a great dirty soda. A regular coke, lime, cream soda is one of my faves. But, you know I gotta level up from there! So here I am with a recipe for a virgin watermelon mojito dirty soda.
Oh yes. And it’s the perfect flavor for warm weather – mint, lime, watermelon. Ah. So good.
This Virgin Watermelon Mojito Dirty Soda recipe is a fun twist on a classic that feels a bit more special than just grabbing a drink from the fridge. It is tart, creamy, and has that perfect cooling finish from the mint. If you are sober living or just prefer non alcoholic mocktails, this watermelong mojito dirty soda is for you!
If you have been following my summer series, you know I have been putting my Homemade Mint Simple Syrup to good use lately. Between the Minty Lemonade and that decadent Mint Chip Mocha, it is clear that I am in a major mint era! This dirty soda is a great way to use that syrup to elevate some simple ingredients into a drink that looks and tastes like it came from a fancy soda shop.
Don’t worry – I also made a for-adults watermelon mojito. You can find that here.

Step by step instructions for a virgin watermelon mojito dirty soda
To get started, you will want to take some fresh watermelon chunks and a splash of water and toss them into a blender. Blend that up until it is a nice, smooth puree.
Pour about two ounces of that vibrant watermelon puree into your glass, followed by your mint simple syrup.
If you want to make it look extra pretty, this is the perfect time to toss in a few fresh mint sprigs.
Next, fill your glass most of the way with ice and pour in your favorite lemon lime soda, like Sprite.
To give it that signature dirty soda finish, you will add some fresh squeezed lime juice and a splash of heavy cream. Give it a gentle stir so the cream swirls through the watermelon and soda.
It is such a bright and creamy drink that manages to be both sweet and refreshing at the same time. If you find yourself with extra limes after making this, they would be a great addition to the Greek Sheet Pan Chicken and Potatoes I posted recently!
Look how pretty!
