Step by step instructions for Batch Cooked Baked Potatoes recipe

Prep and scrub the potatoes

Start by heating your oven to 400 degrees.

Take your medium Russet potatoes to the sink and give them a thorough rinse under cool water, scrubbing away any leftover dirt. Once clean, dry them off and use a fork to poke holes all around each potato so steam can escape while baking.

Season the potato skins

Arrange the potatoes on a large baking sheet with plenty of space between them. Brush oil evenly over all sides of each potato, then sprinkle generously with sea salt. Use your hands to rub the salt across the oily skin so every bite gets seasoned. This is the key to crispy, flavorful skin.

Bake to fluffy perfection

Slide the baking sheet into your preheated oven and bake for 1 hour. You will know they are ready when a fork inserts easily into the center of the largest potato. Allow them to cool before storing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for the week ahead.

Reheat for quick meals

When you are ready to eat, slit a pre-baked potato lengthwise and cover it with a damp paper towel. Microwave it for 2 to 3 minutes until warmed through. If you prefer crispier skin, microwave it for 2 minutes and then pop it into your air fryer for 4 minutes.
